Ignite: Parent Leadership Advocacy Academy
Through professional learning experiences Ignite: Parent Leadership Advocacy Academy participants will redefine community engagement and collectively rebuild our education system.
Graduates will be become TEN Parent Fellows and will be on the front lines of organizing and community change efforts.

TEN Parent Fellows Program
Following the completion of the Ignite Parent Advocacy Academy, graduates become elegible to participate in the TEN Parent Fellows Program. This additional program is an opportunity for parents, grandparents, educators and community allies to be at the forefront of community change. All Parent Fellows are compensated for their time at $25/hour to lead local organizing efforts to improve their local school community and positively impact our state’s K-12 system and engage other parents in advocacy and civic engagement efforts.
Parent Fellows are focused on building a network of leaders to engage in key local issues and elected leaders to address educational inequality across the state. Past efforts led by Parent Fellows include: Special Education, new school creation, academic outcomes, teacher training, school safety etc.
